Hello! I’m  Trisha LeRoy-Smith! I absolutely love being a 3rd grade teacher! My journey started with Rocklin Academy in 2011 and I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing school!

I grew up in the Bay Area.  I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, San Diego, and my Master's Degree from Dominican University. I love learning and believe learning helps us prosper in many ways!  I have been teaching for 21 years! The cities of Brentwood and Lafayette are where my career began, where I taught 6th, 4th, and 3rd grade.  Then I was fortunate to go global and get an international credential and teach in Loughborough, England!  I found this experience to be fantastic and made me realize the importance of our community around the globe.  I brought many philosophies and practices back with me when I moved to California! In 2011, I found Rocklin Academy and have experience teaching 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade for this organization.  Plus, my own children attended a RAFOS school so I have the full K-8 experience with the lens of a parent!

I have two children.  One has just graduated from college, and the other is in high school.  In my free time, I spend it with my children because I have realized that kids grow up and move on very quickly.  My greatest advice to you is to treasure all moments and be involved in your child’s life by being positive, supportive, and loving! When I am not gushing over my kids, I am cuddling with my pets, a corgi and my cat.  I also like walking, hiking, being with my friends and family, paddle boarding, and I am always up for trying new things! 

Teaching is my passion.  This has never wavered.  Your kiddos are my priority, and I truly look forward to partnering with you to help them grow to their fullest potential this school year!  Now let’s have a great year! Go Eagles! It’s time to SOAR!
