Hello, my name is Amber Fruhling, and I am one of the music teachers at Rocklin Academy! I have taught for 16 years, 7 of which have been with Rocklin Academy. Over those seven years, I have built a successful and sustainable general music and performance program. Our general music program offers exposure to rhythm, melody, music notiation, solfege/singing, and playing classroom instruments. The 4-6th grade students enjoy playing recorders and ukueles. We perform annually at our Core Knowledge Night event in May to show parents what we have learned. Our after school choral and band program for grades 5-6 is thriving with 40-50 students in choir each year, and two levels of band- both Beginning Band and Concert Band. We have 2-3 concerts each school year. I am always looking for ways to try new things and better our program. I am very passionate about what I do, and I look forward to working with your child!
