Welcome!
My name is Amber Fruhling, and I am the 4-6th grade music teacher for Rocklin Academy! I have been with Rocklin Academy for 9 years, for a total of 18 years of teaching. I am a mother of four, and have a chiweenie and a bearded dragon! I enjoy reading, learning about health topics, playing piano, and frequenting coffee shops. I sing with the Sacramento Choral Society as well! Teaching music is a passion of mine, especially at the elementary school level. There's nothing better than helping students learn to perform for the first time!
At RA, we have a comprehensive music program for all grades K-6! At the intermediate level, students receive general music instruction twice a week during school. They learn singing, music notation and theory, music history, soprano recorders, various hand percussion instruments, and ukulele. At the end of the year we celebrate all we have learned with an outdoor concert for Core Knowledge Night! We also have an after school performance program, with two levels of band and one choir. We have at least two performances a year, and our enrollment is always full!
