Bio

My name is Mr. Pattison. I am extremely excited to be joining the 2nd grade team at Rocklin Academy as a first-year teacher. Although I was born in San Jose, CA, I spent most of my life in Antelope, CA before eventually attending California State University, Chico. I would then attend CalState TEACH where I would earn my multiple subject credential. Through this program I had the opportunity to student teach here at Rocklin Academy for the 2024 -25 school year. During my time student teaching, I was able to gain valuable firsthand experience in both 2nd grade and 6th grade. I am extremely grateful for the excellent mentorship I received from Tanya Capulong in 2nd grade as well as Lisa Swenson in 6th grade.

I've always had a passion for teaching and education. From a young age, I knew this was my calling. Through my experiences in early childhood education, I’ve remained committed to creating a positive, engaging classroom environment built on strong, trusting relationships. I truly believe that every student is a learner.

A few fun facts about me: I have a pet chihuahua that I spend as much time with as possible. I love sports—I'll watch just about any live game and I enjoy playing basketball and golf in my free time. I also enjoy gardening and cooking (especially from my garden). My favorite place to be is anywhere the sun is shining—preferably on a beach!

I’m looking forward to a fantastic school year full of growth, wonder, and adventure—for both my class and myself. I’m thrilled to be joining a team as passionate about education as I am.
