Bio

My name is Sabrina Hieb, and this will be my third year teaching at Rocklin Academy! Some of you may know me by my maiden name, Ms. Cruz. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from Sac State and earned my teaching credential as well as a Master's Degree in Education from National University. My philosophy on teaching is that each child is unique and requires a supportive learning environment where they can develop mentally, emotionally, and socially. In my classroom, students have a safe space to share ideas and take risks. Students are given choices and opportunities to let their curiosity help direct their learning.

In September, I tied the knot with my best friend, Ryan. We are big fans of board games and host game nights almost on a weekly basis. We have four fur babies named Angus, Wilson, Bear, and Zane. I am a huge music buff, with Queen being my favorite band of all time and "School of Rock" being my favorite movie.
