Hello Families,

 

My name is Nina Godette. This will be my 14th year of teaching. I have taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade math. We are a military family; therefore, I have had the privilege of teaching in North Carolina, Alaska, Hawaii, and now California. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from Elizabeth City State University, Master’s degree from Strayer University, and took some time off of completing my Doctorate degree from Concordia University.

 

I have two daughters (Kyleigh-8th grade, Kindyl-5th grade) who are also part of the Rocklin Academy Family of Schools. My husband (Kelvin) is a First Sergeant in the Army. In our spare time we love doing anything that is associated with Disney and UNC (University of North Carolina). Our family is heavily involved in sports, but we also LOVE to travel, go to the beach, and try/explore new things.

 

I look forward to helping your students become confident, responsible, self-directed learners who think critically with strong problem-solving skills. I will challenge your students and provide a safe and nurturing environment in which your student will grow. This year will come with a lot of hard work, but it will also be full or great rewards.
