Welcome Students and Families!

My name is Annie Peck and I'm thrilled to be a part of our Rocklin Academy family as a first grade teacher. I have been with Rocklin Academy for ten years altogether as both a 3rd grade and 1st grade teacher as well as an Enrichment Support Specialist. I am truly fortunate to work with an outstanding team of professional, compassionate, and devoted educators and staff. Rocklin Academy embodies my own belief that all students can learn and achieve at high levels.

In 1988, I received my B.S. in Human Resource Management from Utah State University. I later fell in love with teaching and earned a Master of Arts Degree and multiple subject teaching credential through University of Phoenix in 2007. For the past 18 years, I've worked with students of all ages in a variety of educational settings with a primary focus on first, second, and third grade. Additionally, in 2019, I earned my GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Development) certification. This training focuses on teaching strategies that target a variety of student needs and learning modalities.

One of my greatest wishes, as an educator, is to teach and nurture the whole child by creating a learning environment where students feel safe, feel like they belong, and create a place where they are inspired to explore, create, and feed their love of learning. Growth mindset guru, Carol S. Dweck says, “If we want to give our children a gift, the best thing we can do is to teach them to love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy effort, and keep on learning."  I believe, too, that parents play an integral role in their child's education, and I look forward to this partnership with the common goal of supporting and inspiring each student to achieve their very best.

Here’s to a new and exciting year!
