My name is Jennifer Wood, and I am beyond excited to begin my twelfth year as a Kindergarten teacher and my thirteenth year at Rocklin Academy! Teaching kindergarten is truly my passion, and I feel incredibly fortunate to spend each day helping young learners grow, discover, and develop a love for learning.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and my Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in Technology from National University. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to teach High School Photography, Physical Education at the Rocklin Academy Turnstone campus, and Accelerated Math at both the Turnstone and Meyers campuses. While I have enjoyed every role, my heart has always belonged in the kindergarten classroom.

I was born in San Diego and grew up in Rocklin, where I was a member of the first graduating class of Rocklin High School. As a student-athlete, I participated in volleyball, basketball, and soccer and was honored to be named Female Athlete of the Year. Those experiences helped shape my belief in teamwork, perseverance, and the importance of building strong relationships—values I strive to instill in my students every day.

Outside of school, I am blessed to share my life with my amazing boyfriend, Pete. We have been together for nine wonderful years, and I am incredibly grateful for his love, support, and encouragement. I also enjoy spending time with my furry family members—my dogs, Odin and Wink, and my cat, Havoc Bobbi. I have a lifelong love of sports and currently play on four soccer teams. I am also a devoted Manchester United fan! When I’m not on the soccer field, you can usually find me working on a puzzle, creating projects with my Cricut, or finding creative ways to bring joy and excitement into the classroom.

One thing you should know about me is that I absolutely love school spirit! Whether it’s a dress-up day, a special celebration, or a chance to make learning extra fun, I am always ready to jump in with enthusiasm. I believe that school should be a place where children feel loved, valued, and excited to learn each day.

Rocklin Academy has been my home for many years, and I am so grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. I look forward to partnering with you this year as we help your child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we will celebrate successes, create lasting memories, and make this kindergarten year a truly special one.
