Bio
Hello! My name is Lisa Swenson, and I’m thrilled to be starting my 6th year at Rocklin Academy, teaching 6th grade. I currently serve as the ACES facilitator, where I have the pleasure of working with student leaders to plan rallies, spirit days, and a variety of fun, community-building activities.
With 21 years of teaching experience, I’ve taught Kindergarten, 1st, 4th, and 5th grades. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Sacramento, and received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Hayward.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family. I’m a proud mom of three amazing children: a 19-year-old newly certified EMT who hopes to become a firefighter, a 16-year-old student-athlete, and a 13-year-old daughter who is both a talented athlete and an excellent student. I’ve been happily married to my supportive husband for 24 years, and our family is completed by Tucker, our lovable dog.
Teaching is my passion—second only to being a mom—and I truly believe it’s the best job in the world. I’m so excited for the year ahead and am committed to making it the best one yet!
