Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! My name is Angie Main, and I am so excited to be teaching my 8th year in the 6th grade at Rocklin Academy. I believe in creating a classroom in which students are respected as individuals, while challenging them in a safe, supportive, respectful, and positive environment where they learn, discover a positive sense of self, explore new things, all while having fun at the same time!
I have lived in Rocklin since 2010 with my 21-year-old son, Seth, who has special needs and attends the Transition Program for 18-22 year olds with Rocklin Unified School District and his service dog, Lobo. In our spare time, we like to hike, swim, travel, and go to the movies.
Last year was very challenging for everybody. My hope is that we can all come together and experience a “typical” school year. We have some exciting projects and a hands-on science program we are anxious to implement in the classroom.
This school year I will be teaching alongside Mrs. Price, and Mrs. Ferguson. Mrs. Ferguson is new to the 6th-grade team this year, but not to Rocklin Academy. Many of your children might have had her as their 1st-grade teacher. We are all committed to working collaboratively to ensure that all students have a successful year.
We make a great team, and I am very excited about the upcoming year. 6th grade is a dynamic year and we are going to create amazing memories.
Go Eagles!
