Bio

Hello Eagle students and families! I am Danielle Martin and I am very happy to be teaching at Rocklin Academy for my second year!

I grew up in the small town of Galt, California with my parents and my older brother. I had a dream of being a teacher since my kindergarten project of "what do you want to be when you grow up?" I spent a lot of my time in middle school through high school in Sacramento dancing at the Sacramento Ballet. After graduating high school, I moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. During college I worked for our Orientation Programs which re-sparked my desire to become a teacher. After graduation, I took a leap and moved to Orlando, Florida to pursue my dream dance job, working at Walt Disney World as a performer. I also worked at Seaworld which housed Florida's Sesame Street. After two wonderful years of experience, I moved back home to begin my teaching career.

My hobbies include dancing, music, painting, reading and spending time outdoors. I love going to the beach and camping. I love all things Disney and my favorite animals are ducks and sloths. I have a dog named Winnie the Poodle who loves to go on all of my adventures and loves every human he meets.

I look forward to another great year with lots of success at Rocklin Academy!
