It is an absolute joy to initiate my teaching career at Rocklin Academy as part of the 2nd grade team.  I am thoroughly impressed with the school’s culture, guided by a strong vision based upon inspiring students to excel academically, pursue interests and become proud citizens.

As an undergraduate at The University of Pittsburgh (Go Panthers!), I majored in Communication Disorders with minors in Early Education and Psychology.  Like many college students, my initial profession differed from my major.  I entered into biological sales, which led to a successful career that spanned twenty years.  After time, I found that my passion for sales was wavering, which led to earning a Master’s in Teaching, from Sacred Heart University located in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Although I am originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, I moved to Placer County from Woodbury, Connecticut this past winter with my husband and eight year old son.  Our rescue cat, Millie joined us on our journey west.  We have enjoyed exploring Northern California by hiking at local state parks, biking along the Truckee River and even whitewater rafting down the American River through the heart of Gold Country.  We know we have only scratched the surface regarding what makes California so special and we look forward to continued family excursions.

I look forward to making contributions to the second grade team goals and positively impacting my students’ academic and social-emotional development.
