My name is Elizabeth Isaak and I am excited to teach 2nd grade at Rocklin Academy. I have been teaching for 14 years as a first and second grade teacher as well as a reading intervention specialist. This is my first year teaching at Rocklin Academy and I look forward to working with an amazing team of educators to provide a caring, engaging, and rigorous learning environment. I am dedicated to helping all students thrive and develop a love for learning. I also look forward to working with parents to help support and extend students’ learning at home.
I received my Bachelors of Arts with a focus on Global Studies from University of California Santa Barbara. Upon discovering my passion for teaching, I attended San Jose State University and completed my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a CLAD emphasis. I also earned a Masters Degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from San Jose State University. As a lifelong learner, I actively seek out professional development courses and resources to further my depth of knowledge in the education field.
My husband and our two year old daughter recently moved to Rocklin from Saratoga in the Bay Area. I enjoy swimming, hiking, and discovering new restaurants. My family and I love animals and plan to adopt two bunnies and a dog. Developing relationships, supporting students to grow both academically and socially, and helping them discover the joy in learning are all things that make me love teaching. I look forward to meeting students and families and starting a memorable, fun new school year!
